Donate Button for Fundraising Groups

How do you enable the "Donate to a Participant Button" to show when viewing the Fundraising Opportunity Page?

I've created "Fundraising Groups" to accept sponsorships for our Annual Night to Shine Event.  I have the Fundraising Groups set, however, I do not see the "Donate to a Participant Button" on the Fundraising Opportunity Page.

I thought it was because I changed the text for that button, however, that was not it. Then I thought I might have to also create a Registration Instance to make that button appear, however, that wasn't the answer either.   Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

Karen, do you have a participant in the fundraising group which is not set to Disable Public Contribution Requests - Yes? I just verified that if I have no participants which are accepting contributions, then the Donate button goes away. Could this be it?

Hi Eddie, thank you for the reply! Yes, that was it!! Once I changed from Yes to No, then the "Donate to Participant" button appeared for the sample person I added to the Fundraising Group. Thanks again!

SIDE NOTE: We were hoping we could use Fundraising Groups to create Sponsorship Opportunities (Platinum, Diamond, Silver, Gold, LIMO, Guest, etc) as fundraising for one of our large-scale annual events. These would come with perks such as church-wide marketing, banners, plaques, t-shirts, social media shout outs, etc.  From there, was hoping to use the "Donate to Participant" button, change the name to "Click here to Sponsor," and use that button to take payments for those sponsorship opportunities.  Unfortunately that wasn't going to function like I wanted. Looks like Fundraising Groups is intended for fundraising for individuals, not events or event-specific items, per se.  So....we're using a combo of Fundraising Groups and Event Registration to accomplish this instead.
