Rock feature development can move quickly, but it is dependent on the funding received by the non-profit Spark Development
Network. Because of that, the development roadmap doesn’t specify dates,
and usually sees some schedule changes related to which feature makes which release.
Who Is Eligible to Sponsor a Feature?
While all the listed features are important, it could be that one feature is more important to your organization than
other features. If that is the case, and if your organization is engaged in the community through fully supporting Spark
(more on that here), you can help move your preferred feature to the top
of the list through feature sponsorship.
What Does Feature Sponsorship Look Like?
You'll work with Spark to incorporate your requirements into the feature as a paid project. Spark will scope the feature
out to your specifications, and the community needs, and deliver a full statement of work with pricing. Your organization
will be engaging in both meeting your internal needs and providing benefit for the entire Rock community, making it a
win-win every time.
Are There Examples of Sponsored Features?
Feature sponsorship opportunities have been very successful in both adding features that were not yet on the roadmap and
moving other listed features up to the front of the line. This includes features like group (volunteer) scheduling,
assets, SMS pipeline, registration attributes, steps, streaks and check-in celebrations.
