External Website clone?

In the Building Websites manual there is a list of things you should not do. One of these is

6. Use the External Site as Your Site: You might be tempted to jump and and start using the external site that comes with Rock as your external site. Keep in mind that we add pages and blocks to this site as we create new features in Rock. Think of this site as a best practice site for you to create your site from.

Is there a way to copy the stock External Site and make it a new, and safe from updates, instance as a template to modify and use or do you have to build it from scratch?

    You can clone the root page of the site and it will ask if you also want to clone child pages. You can also just copy the Stark theme to a new directory name and apply that them to your new pages.
