0 Assigning Tasks based on Roles, and showing where person is in that process 2 Chad Frey posted 9 Years Ago Ok, so were new to this, and new to rock as well. So far im very impressed but a lot is somewhat over my head as Im a visual guy not so much coding. My question is based of this following scenario. We want to create some kind of accountability in the assimilation process. For example, one of our receptionists comes in on Mondays and enters all the new guests into our current database of attendees [ currently just google address book :( ] and will send them a letter from the pastor thanking them for attending. At which point she passes all the cards to another person who makes follow up phone calls if need be, and makes copies of the cards based on what boxes they checked on them (eg. Prayer, Involvement, salvations, etc.) and distributes them to the heads of those respective areas. At this point its on them to call and follow up with people based on their needs. But the system breaks down and people fall thru the cracks if we dont make a point to go back and follow up with the leaders and make sure that they have done said tasks, and then, if theres anythign needed from us on the administrative or pastoral staff, we have to send it back thru the channels, and so on. So what Im asking, is it possible to setup Rock in such a way that when the receptionist enters the information on Monday, can she check the theoretical boxes corresponding to our connect card and the system send notification and that persons contact info to the leaders of the ministries they clicked and when they respond and enter the results of their enteractions, can there be a place visually that shows oh, so and so has requested information and our leader has responded to them? or is there another way that im not aware of that you guys use to monitor this assimilation process? or any alternative ideas? Im very hopeful your responses can help us develop this better. Sorry for the long explanation/question. Chad
Frank Grand 9 years ago No problem at all! That's what the forums are for. The documentation is very detailed, so if you haven't yet, I think it would be worth the time reading through them all to get a feel for what's possible.
