Windows 11, Ranger driver and Canon CR190i

We attempted to perform a technical refresh of our finance PC, which was running Windows 10 and working like a champ, but slow.  On the Windows 11 PC, the installation looked good, got the green light on the check scanner app, and it scans into a test batch, but will not upload an image.

I tried the installation several times, but no luck.  In the Ranger app, I can see the image, but not in Rock.  Is anyone else using this combination of hardware and software?  I uninstalled and reinstalled while restarting between each step.  I went online and found the latest Ranger driver for the scanner.

Any information is appreciated, as I am still digging into this.

There have been reported issues of Canon scanners not working properly on Win11 24H2. You might try the RANGER driver listed here to see if that fixes it.

So my problem was I was trying to scan checks using my admin account and W11 was blocking it, even with the firewall off, must be a defender thing?

I switched to a regular windows user account and I am able to scan checks.  This was not an issue in past version of windows when I installed scanners and i do not have any group policies that would do that.

Install with admin, log into app with regular user account.

That's my story and I am sticking to it...
