Public Small Group Search Page: Best Practices

Has anyone experimented with making a public small group page where visitors can search for a small group meeting their desired criteria?

The only way I have found to do it so far is using the “Group Trea View” block and the “Group detail” block. But This isn’t really what I had in mind. Plus if I don't login I keep getting a Microsoft login request every time I do anything on that page (See my test page here- http://church.mcchurch.me/SmallGroups).

We currently are using Church Community Builder so our people are accustom to seeing this: https://mcchurch.ccbchurch.com/w_group_list.php

I am looking to find some sort of happy medium.

    Hi DJ,

The RockRMS Group Finder isn't complete yet - there are some modules that can be stiched together but not everything is there.  Look for it in the 1.0 release.  In the meantime check out the Group Mapper block - it is very cool!

P.S. Thanks for the example photos - they help more than you realize.

Hi Jeremy, is the group finder module going to be able to find groups by the day of the week (and possibly the time of day) that they meet. Instead of by location. And, will it have parameter settings that will hide a group, or show it as closed, once it reaches a set number of people?

Is the RockRMS Group Finder available yet?  DJ Your group finder looks good, is it working?  Is this different than what will be provided by Rock RMS?

      Don,
You might just have stumbled apron the beta version of the group finder... :-) I'm not sure how you found it since my link above no longer works and we have hardly done anything to start getting the public site up and running. The domain it's on I have been using just for testing right now.

I have been messing with the new (3.0 beta) group features this week and yet again the development team seems to have done a great job. Hopefully if everything goes well for the beta test you'll have it too.

Have you been following the road map for features? https://trello.com/b/C8gulcfu/roadmap
